We use small, aggregate counts to understand which guides readers find useful.

What our site measurement records

• The day, in UTC, and the public page viewed.
• A broad source category such as Google, Pinterest, internal navigation or direct/unknown. We classify a referring hostname or a recognised utm_source value; we do not save the full referring URL or search query.
• A click on an Amazon affiliate link, linked to the article and product label.

These events increment daily counters. Our analytics database does not store IP addresses, visitor identifiers, names, email addresses, exact event times, browser fingerprints or individual browsing histories. The measurement script sets no cookies and uses no local or session storage.

Your choices

The measurement script respects browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Blocking JavaScript or the measurement endpoint also prevents these events. The site and Amazon links continue to work without measurement. Signed-in owner visits are excluded when the hosting platform supplies the owner identity.

Retention and access

Daily aggregate records are kept for up to 90 days; expired records are removed when subsequent measurement events arrive. Only the site owner can open the performance dashboard. If measurement fails, it does not block reading or shopping links.

Hosting and external services

The site runs on OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure. Those providers necessarily process network requests and may keep their own operational logs under their policies; the aggregate database described above is separate from those logs.

Google Fonts and externally hosted product photographs may make requests to their respective providers when a page loads. Those services receive normal request information. Our promise not to store IP addresses describes our analytics database, not every service involved in loading a webpage.

Amazon affiliate links

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Clicking an affiliate link takes you to Amazon Italy with our tracking tag. Amazon handles activity, cookies, purchases and attribution on its own service under its own policies. We do not receive your order details or identity through our click counter.

Owner sign-in

The private performance dashboard uses Sign in with ChatGPT. Hosting provides signed-in identity information to check that the dashboard visitor is the owner. That identity is not written to the analytics counters. Public articles do not require sign-in.

What these numbers cannot tell us

Counts are approximate. They are not unique visitor totals, purchases, revenue or advertising profiles. Browser restrictions, repeated clicks and automated traffic can affect them.
