Missed neck hairs, a messy rinse at the sink and remembering a charger are different problems. Identify the one you want to change. A charging case will not solve missed hairs; a different head will not organise your travel bag.
Braun Series 9 Pro 9477cc: documented features
Braun lists a ProHead with ProLift trimmer and Sonic technology, wet/dry use, a five-in-one SmartCare centre and PowerCase. Its “faster” and “gentle” statements are manufacturer claims, not our measured results. The charging case is intended to extend time away from a socket. Official 9477cc page.
The Series 9 Pro manual identifies a 94M foil/cutter cassette, head-position lock, long-hair trimmer, travel lock and indicators for battery, low charge, foil replacement and cleaning. Check these with the seller if the station must fit a narrow shelf. The manufacturer page is Singapore-specific, so confirm the Italian package and supplied power adapter separately.
When an automatic cleaning station makes sense
If you dislike dealing with the head after each shave, a station can move part of that work into a docking routine. Braun’s care guide describes automatic cleaning, drying and charging. It also explains manual rinsing and occasional lubrication, and recommends replacing cutter parts around every 18 months.

Automation is not freedom from supplies: you still need cartridges, a replacement cassette and somewhere for the station to live. If you already rinse your shaver without thinking, the station may mainly add another item to keep stocked. If cleaning is the step you repeatedly put off, it may be the most useful part of the package.
Wet use also changes clean-up: the manual requires removing foam or gel residues with rinsing. Do not assume docking a foam-covered shaver removes every manual step.
When a charging case earns its space
A case can be useful if your shaver moves between home and a packed overnight bag. The convenience is having a protected, charged tool ready to go. If it stays beside the same bathroom socket all year, that is not the problem you need an accessory to solve.
What owners add—and what they cannot prove
An Amazon Italy reviewer explicitly identifying the 9477cc appreciated the cleaning station and charging case, particularly when away from the base. That is a concrete convenience use case. The listing mixes Series 9 Pro and Pro+ packages. In that wider family, one owner described easier clean-up, while another still found shaving residue after using the station. These contrasting experiences support checking the maintenance routine; they do not establish how the 9477cc performs for everyone. - Cleaning is the chore: shortlist a compatible station package if you are happy to replenish cartridges and keep the dock accessible.
- Travel is the inconvenience: consider the charging case, including its packing space.
- Comfort is the unresolved issue: focus on your hair pattern, head fit and experience with the system. Accessories and enthusiastic reviews cannot guarantee irritation-free shaving.
- Your current shave works and rinsing is easy: a larger bundle may not simplify anything.
