One Clean mode; two intensities; optical pressure sensing with tactile feedback; 20-second pacing and a two-minute timer; replacement-head and battery reminders. Philips specifies 62,000 bristle movements/minute and up to 21 days per charge.
The listed supply range is 100–240V; check the USB power adapter included with your seller’s bundle. The official box list contains a handle, W Optimal White head and charger. Item dimensions and weight are not published on the official pages reviewed. Official full feature sheet .

Five modes—Clean, White+, Gum Health, Deep Clean and Sensitive—and three intensities; SenseIQ pressure/movement response; pressure feedback; pacing, session timer and head-replacement reminder.
Bluetooth coaching includes coverage and progress reports. Philips lists 14 days per charge, 100–240V, a charging stand, USB travel charging case and four A3 heads for this bundle. The reviewed page gives no item weight or dimensions.
This is the classic HX9992 model, not the newer touchscreen 9900. Exact-model specifications.
Dyson CameraJet · Italian Ceramic Pink package
Brush: 230 g, 273 × 44 × 44 mm. Dock: 538 g, 315 mm high × 105 × 50 mm. The brush tank holds 12.5 ml; the dock holds 200 ml. Dyson lists a ten-day battery, replaceable battery pack, IPX7 brush rating and USB-C-to-pogo-pin charging with a one-metre cable.
The 100,000-pixel camera analyses 28 frames/second. Three operating modes combine or separate brushing and automatic jetting; three brushing intensities, pressure/technique alerts, a 30-second timer, RFID head-wear tracking and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi/MyDyson guidance complete the controls.

Battery figures are manufacturer claims under their own conditions, not a comparison we measured. Check physical fit with the charger as well as the handle: a larger dock matters on a narrow bathroom shelf.
If simplicity is the priority: Sonicare 5300
Philips’ Italian HX7101/01 page documents pressure feedback and adjustable intensity. Our reason for shortlisting it is the directness of that help: a prompt when you press too hard, without a built-in jet tank to manage. Philips 5300 specifications.
This is a strong fit when brushing itself is already a reliable habit and you do not want your bathroom routine to become a monitoring exercise. It is less compelling if your main problem is forgetting the separate interdental step; choosing a simpler brush does not make that step disappear.

If feedback alone is easy to ignore: 9900 Prestige
Philips says SenseIQ detects pressure, motion and coverage, and adjusts intensity when pressure is excessive. Its app provides guidance, and brushing data can sync even when the phone is not beside you during brushing. Philips 9900 Prestige specifications.
Our assessment: the 9900’s documented SenseIQ adaptation and coverage coaching are the relevant additions. The 5300 also has pressure feedback and motor control; “smart versus not smart” is too crude a distinction.
It may suit someone who wants assistance during brushing and occasional coaching afterwards. If you never look at brushing information and already respond to pressure alerts, those extra capabilities may change very little about your routine.
The 9900 remains a brush, not an integrated jet-cleaning system. Do not choose it expecting CameraJet’s different physical function.

If the separate step is the obstacle: CameraJet
Dyson describes a camera that identifies gaps and triggers targeted jets during brushing. That is an attempt to combine two actions in one session. The integrated tank and refill dock are part of the system, rather than optional decoration. Dyson’s CameraJet launch explanation.
The useful question is whether that combination makes your own habit more consistent. We have not verified that it reduces total routine time or replaces the interdental method recommended for your teeth. Do not treat a manufacturer’s plaque claim as a head-to-head result against either Philips model.
The upkeep changes the answer
Dyson’s owner guidance calls for rinsing after use, more thorough weekly cleaning, weekly dock care and monthly descaling in hard-water circumstances. That is a meaningful ownership commitment for a person seeking fewer chores. CameraJet owner care guidance.
Dyson’s Italian page recommends its own non-foaming toothpaste and low-foaming rinse, but also describes suitable alternatives: non-foaming, SLS-free gel toothpaste and clear rinse. It is therefore inaccurate to say you can only use Dyson liquids.
Dyson specifies genuine CameraJet heads for correct operation, so their ongoing supply is a separate compatibility consideration. Italian CameraJet information.
Think of supplies as errands as well as expenses. Will you keep the right heads and liquids on hand? Is there room for parts to dry? Will you maintain the tank when you are tired? For some people that is a reasonable exchange for combining steps; for others it defeats the purpose.

What the Amazon reviews tell us about the routine
One 5300 buyer wanted the essentials after finding an app on a previous brush unnecessary. Another first-time sonic-brush buyer liked the straightforward controls but noted that a mains USB adapter was not included in their package.

Feedback is personal: one 5300 reviewer initially struggled to feel the pressure warning, then updated the review to say it was working. We would not turn that initial comment into a claim of a broken sensor. 5300 review with update, April 2026.
On the 9900 listing, a reviewer of the black “Classic” variant liked the brush but found the app unhelpful; another Classic-variant owner liked it for travel. These are family-level experiences, not verification of the champagne HX9992/44 bundle.

Our Amazon search did not locate a matching CameraJet listing with customer reviews; its assessment here therefore rests on manufacturer documentation, not invented owner feedback.
Which would we choose for whom?
5300: a reader who wants direct assistance with little to configure. 9900 Prestige: a reader who benefits from adaptive intensity and will use feedback to improve a habit. CameraJet: a reader interested in the combined process who accepts its cleaning and supply routine, and has confirmed its suitability with their dental professional where needed.
The NHS recommends cleaning between teeth as part of oral care. A camera, app or impressive feature count is not a reason to stop a recommended interdental routine. NHS oral-care guidance.
